A leading global provider of Software Vendor is seeking a Delivery Program Manager to join their Bangkok team. What you'll do:
As a Delivery Program Manager based in Bangkok, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily execution of retail-oriented solutions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple projects or programmes from inception through completion, ensuring they meet business objectives while maintaining operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to define scope and success metrics, develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources effectively, and anticipate potential challenges before they arise. Regularly updating stakeholders on progress is key to maintaining transparency throughout each phase. - Define programme scope, objectives, and success metrics in close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee multiple projects or larger programmes simultaneously, guaranteeing they meet established objectives while maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to facilitate successful execution across all phases.
- Anticipate challenges by applying strategic thinking to develop preemptive solutions that keep programmes on track.
- Manage programme budgets efficiently, including resource allocation and cost tracking to ensure financial responsibility.
- Conduct regular status reviews with stakeholders, providing clear updates on risks, dependencies, milestones, and progress.
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing for each programme phase to enhance transparency and continuity within the team.
- Lead cross-functional teams to align with Strategy & Operations priorities while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Influence senior leadership by advocating for resources and process changes based on team insights and analysis.
- Promote a positive and inclusive culture that supports team engagement, productivity, and open communication.
What you bring:
Your extensive background as a Delivery Program Manager will enable you to excel in this role. With over twelve years’ experience managing programmes or service delivery across diverse technologies and industries—particularly within retail—you bring deep understanding of project management principles alongside strong financial acumen. Your academic credentials in IT or related fields complement your practical expertise gained through recognised certifications such as PMP or Agile methodologies. You have honed your interpersonal skills through client relations management on software-related projects while demonstrating sensitivity during negotiations. Your ability to communicate clearly across technical teams as well as senior leaders ensures seamless knowledge sharing. Analytical thinking combined with empathy allows you to address complex challenges collaboratively. As someone who thrives in communal environments where teamwork is valued above individual achievement—and who possesses business-level English proficiency—you are well-equipped to drive change while supporting others’ growth.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in programme management or service delivery with demonstrable expertise in managing projects, budgets, staff, and delivery across various technologies and businesses.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline preferred; relevant qualifications such as PMP, Agile or Prince 2 are advantageous.
- Experienced in client relations management or account management within software-related projects.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with proven commercial acumen for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proven financial management skills including profit & loss responsibility.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills suitable for technical audiences as well as senior leadership.
- Ability to adjust behaviour responsively in different scenarios as a dependable self-starter.
- Analytical abilities paired with problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges collaboratively.
- Strategic thinker capable of driving change through shared vision and communal effort.
- Vast knowledge of the global retail industry is highly desirable; willingness to work outside traditional hours when required; native Thai speaker with business-level English proficiency.
