What you'll do:

As an Engineering Tech Lead – Software and AI (French Speaking), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of core transactional systems within an organisation. • Balance hands-on technical leadership with direct line management responsibilities for a team of 7–10 engineers based in Bangkok, including remote members across different time zones.
• Act as the technical bridge between the Bangkok engineering team and Paris counterparts, requiring fluency in both English and French to navigate complex cross-functional stakeholder environments.
• Maintain delivery speed and quality across a diverse portfolio of transactional systems such as payment gateway integrations, web/mobile applications, and NetSuite integrations while managing technical debt and evolving architectural standards.
• Own software architecture and make key technical design decisions for core transactional systems, setting clear direction and standards for the engineering team.
• Define and uphold architectural standards for web/mobile applications, payment gateway integrations, NetSuite, and third-party system integrations.
• Drive engineering best practices through regular code reviews, technical governance, and by championing code quality within the team.
• Design and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance with organisational requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team by setting performance expectations, development goals, and fostering an inclusive culture that supports both individual growth and collective delivery.
• Manage team resourcing in partnership with senior leadership including onboarding new members, capability planning, and performance management.
• Oversee agile delivery for the team's roadmap by running sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, backlog refinement activities; balancing speed of delivery with quality within Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
