NetSecOps Expert

The company is seeking a Network Security Operations Expert to join their dedicated security team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams, driving transformation initiatives that modernise web security platforms across both cloud and on-premises environments.

What you'll do:

As a NetSecOps Expert based in Bangkok, you will play a pivotal role in managing and modernising the organisation’s web security platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with various teams to drive transformation initiatives that migrate legacy components toward next-generation solutions. You will focus on aligning web perimeter security with regulatory compliance and risk management requirements while modernising certificate management platforms. By strengthening WAF and reverse proxy security policies, you will help maintain a resilient posture that anticipates threats and delivers seamless user experiences. Success in this role requires proactive engagement with stakeholders across departments, expert support during critical incidents, meticulous documentation practices, and an eagerness to propose innovative enhancements that keep the organisation ahead of emerging cyber threats.

• Continuously improve Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Reverse Proxy coverage by strengthening protection for web-facing applications and minimising exposure to cyber threats.
• Enhance threat detection and bot management capabilities through refining detection rules and tuning behavioural policies to reduce false positives and improve response accuracy.
• Define robust certificate lifecycle management processes, implementing monitoring systems that prevent service disruptions and security gaps across all environments.
• Lead the PKI modernisation project from architectural definition through implementation in both Cloud and on-premises settings, embedding automated certificate lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with application teams to assess exposure risks, enforce WAF security policies, and ensure comprehensive protection of internet-facing assets.
• Provide expert support during critical incidents by conducting root-cause analysis and complex troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
• Produce and maintain expert-level documentation including hardened WAF configurations, certificate management procedures, and advanced troubleshooting playbooks.
• Ensure consistent enforcement of web perimeter security standards across Cloud-native services as well as legacy infrastructures.
• Maintain awareness of emerging trends in WAF, certificate management, and edge security technologies while anticipating their relevance within the organisation’s infrastructure landscape.
• Regularly propose enhancements that reinforce infrastructure resilience, adapt to evolving business requirements, and proactively address new cyber threats.

What you bring:

To excel as a NetSecOps Expert, you will bring proven experience as a security engineer or network specialist with at least five years’ focus on web perimeter security and certificate management. Your technical expertise spans WAFs like Imperva or F5, reverse proxies, certificate management tools such as ADCS or Venafi, network firewalling solutions including Palo Alto Networks or Checkpoint, as well as cloud security best practices for AWS environments. You possess strong automation skills for streamlining processes alongside an ability to design secure architectures aligned with compliance requirements. Your interpersonal strengths include excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels; analytical thinking for resolving complex challenges; collaboration for working effectively across departments; and an eagerness for continuous learning that keeps you abreast of emerging technologies. A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering or technology is required; relevant certifications or vendor-specific training are highly valued.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) such as Imperva or F5, demonstrating deep knowledge of configuration, policy enforcement, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Proven expertise in Reverse Proxy technologies with a strong track record of enhancing coverage for web-facing applications.
• Advanced proficiency in certificate management platforms including ADCS or Venafi, ensuring secure lifecycle processes across diverse environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of network firewalling solutions such as Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint or Tufin for robust perimeter defence.
• Solid background in Cloud Security principles with practical experience securing AWS environments against evolving threats.
• Ability to design secure architectures that meet compliance standards while supporting business objectives.
• Strong automation skills using scripting languages to streamline certificate lifecycle processes and reduce manual intervention risks.
• Excellent analytical thinking skills enabling you to analyse complex issues quickly and devise effective solutions tailored to business contexts.
• Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
