Head of IT

A leading organisation in Bangkok is seeking a highly experienced Head of IT to lead and transform its IT Operations, Governance and Information Security across enterprise and SAP-based environments.

This strategic role focuses on driving operational excellence, strengthening IT governance, ensuring ISO/IEC 27001 compliance and enhancing cybersecurity to support business continuity, resilience and growth.

What you'll do:
• Lead the overall IT function encompassing IT Operations, Infrastructure Management, Network Administration, ERP/SAP Systems, Manufacturing Technologies, Enterprise Applications, Service Management, and Information Security for the entire organisation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies, technology roadmaps, budgets, and operational plans that align closely with organisational objectives and long-term vision.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise IT systems as well as business-critical applications by implementing best practices across all platforms.
• Establish robust IT Service Management (ITSM) processes while monitoring SLA/KPI performance for Incident Management, Problem Resolution, Change Control, and Service Request Fulfilment according to ITIL standards.
• Oversee infrastructure operations including networks, servers, cloud platforms, data centres, backup solutions, disaster recovery protocols, and business continuity planning to safeguard organisational assets.
• Create and maintain effective IT Governance frameworks by developing policies, procedures, internal controls aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), conducting risk assessments, internal audits, compliance monitoring activities and corrective actions.
• Strengthen cybersecurity controls covering access management procedures, vulnerability management strategies, security patching routines, incident response mechanisms and data protection measures throughout the organisation.
• Oversee SAP ERP governance including SAP Basis administration tasks such as user authorisation management, role assignment processes, Segregation of Duties (SoD), IT General Controls (ITGC), change management protocols.
• Manage IT risks proactively by conducting regular audits; oversee technology asset inventories; ensure software licensing compliance; monitor vendor performance; negotiate IT contracts effectively.

What you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related discipline is required for this position.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT roles with at least 5 years spent in senior management or leadership positions overseeing large-scale operations.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-level IT Operations including Infrastructure Management ERP/SAP Systems Integration Governance Frameworks Information Security Initiatives.
• Extensive experience implementing maintaining ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS conducting risk assessments managing audit processes ensuring compliance across all areas.
• Solid understanding of IT Governance principles Risk Management methodologies General Controls (ITGC) COBIT framework ITIL best practices for service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability managing SAP ERP environments including SAP Basis administration user authorisation role assignment Segregation of Duties (SoD) change management protocols.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure design cybersecurity strategies vulnerability management backup solutions disaster recovery planning business continuity measures.
• Experience managing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes monitoring SLA/KPI performance handling budgets vendor relationships technology asset inventories software licensing compliance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrated through stakeholder engagement team leadership problem-solving abilities strategic planning communication skills.
