What you'll do:
• Provide strategic leadership across enterprise software engineering, application delivery, production operations, and AI-enabled transformation to ensure technology capabilities align with long-term business objectives.
• Define and execute the enterprise software delivery strategy while driving modernisation, scalability, resilience, and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
• Lead the delivery, enhancement, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications, digital platforms, and mission-critical business systems to support evolving organisational needs.
• Establish enterprise engineering standards, technology governance frameworks, architecture principles, quality assurance practices, and delivery methodologies to guarantee secure and high-performing solutions.

• Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices such as DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native development approaches, platform engineering initiatives, automated testing protocols, and engineering automation tools.

• Champion AI-powered software engineering by embedding Generative AI models, AI-assisted development techniques, intelligent automation processes, and agentic engineering capabilities throughout the SDLC to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Evaluate emerging technologies continuously and define the roadmap for AI-enabled engineering transformation while ensuring responsible adoption of innovative solutions.

• Lead enterprise application support functions including production stability management, incident response coordination, problem resolution strategies, and service continuity planning to maintain high system availability.

• Establish governance mechanisms for monitoring engineering performance metrics, delivery KPIs, operational benchmarks, service reliability indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards as well as cybersecurity requirements by implementing robust technology risk controls that meet regulatory obligations and uphold Responsible AI principles.

What you bring:
• Minimum 13 years of progressive experience in software engineering roles encompassing enterprise application delivery responsibilities within complex environments.
• Proven track record leading large-scale software engineering organisations or application delivery teams in senior technology leadership positions.
• Strong technical expertise across enterprise application architecture design principles including cloud platforms integration strategies digital technologies distributed systems legacy system modernisation projects.
• Demonstrated success driving enterprise modernisation initiatives involving cloud adoption DevSecOps implementation CI/CD pipeline optimisation platform engineering enhancements software quality assurance improvements AI-enabled software delivery transformations.
• Solid understanding of Generative AI concepts practical experience with AI-assisted software development intelligent automation agentic engineering approaches comprehensive knowledge of AI-driven SDLC best practices.
• Experience establishing enterprise-level engineering governance operating models technology standards delivery frameworks transformation roadmaps tailored for regulated industries.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity protocols secure software development methodologies technology risk management strategies regulatory compliance requirements Responsible AI guidelines applicable to financial services sector.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams manage complex vendor ecosystems oversee strategic partnerships deliver commercial effectiveness ensure service quality excellence.
