General Manager (Chinese speaking/ IT sector)

Company Overview:
Our client, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a proactive and visionary General Manager to lead their business operations in Thailand. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Group CEO, who is based overseas.

The General Manager will be responsible for driving strategic leadership, spearheading business expansion, managing key stakeholder relationships, and optimizing financial performance. This position requires ensuring alignment with the Group's overarching objectives while cultivating a high-performance culture within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans that align with the Group's overarching goals.
• Assess market trends and competitive landscape to formulate tailored strategies that drive growth and operational excellence in Thailand.
• Lead and empower the Thailand team by fostering a high-performance culture. Implement training and development programs to ensure team members possess the necessary skills and are fully aligned with the company's mission and values.

Business Expansion

• Drive innovative business growth initiatives aimed at expanding the company's footprint in Thailand. This includes evaluating new market segments and product offerings that can enhance our competitive advantage.
• Identify, nurture, and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging market research and analytics to understand customer needs and preferences. Develop strategic partnerships that enhance our capabilities and market reach.

Stakeholder Management

• Represent the company, to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration. Act as a trusted advisor to partners, understanding their needs and aligning them with our offerings.
• Provide regular, detailed reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key business performance metrics, market trends, and competitive insights. Ensure transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization.

Financial Performance and Operation Efficiency

• Oversee the financial performance of the Thailand office by establishing and managing budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and making informed financial decisions that drive profitability and sustainability.
• Oversee daily operations across all departments, driving process optimization and operational efficiency, and build high-performing teams, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and strengthen corporate culture.
• Establish and enhance the company’s compliance management system, review major commercial terms and conditions, enhance internal governance mechanism, and mitigate business risks.
• Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal policies, upholding ethical and legal standards. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks and safeguard the company's assets.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA would be a considerable advantage
• Demonstrate a proven track record in senior management roles within the IT or technology sector with deep understanding of the Thai market and business landscape
• Previous experience working in China or with a Chinese background will be highly preferred
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong innovative mindset, strategic thinking abilities, and a focus on achieving tangible results
