Senior DevOps Engineer

What you'll do:
• Lead the design and drive the implementation of a robust DevSecOps platform that enables automation frameworks, tools adoption, and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure efficient delivery of solution development by optimising cost and resource utilisation while aligning with strategic roadmaps, data privacy requirements, security standards, and architectural best practices.
• Collaborate extensively with team members and related parties to enhance architecture and engineering practices for greater reliability and performance.
• Manage preventive maintenance activities for responsible applications and integrations including service health checks, patch management, stability assurance, and cost optimisation.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available infrastructure across multi-cloud environments primarily AWS while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
• Monitor platform health proactively to identify issues early and resolve them before they impact uptime or user experience.
• Work closely with development teams to facilitate smooth deployment processes ensuring applications run efficiently on the platform.
• Stay current with evolving technologies, tools, and best practices related to cloud infrastructure engineering and site reliability principles.
• Develop comprehensive disaster recovery plans as well as business continuity strategies to safeguard critical systems against unforeseen disruptions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents swiftly while conducting thorough root-cause analyses for long-term improvements.
• Write clear technical documentation for all aspects of the platform to support knowledge sharing within the team.

What you bring:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development projects involving network integration.
• Deep grasp of site reliability engineering principles applied within large-scale production environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience in DevOps platforms with deep technical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab alongside strong networking fundamentals.
• Proven track record of creating end-to-end DevOps pipelines from scratch within regulated industries where compliance is paramount.
• Familiarity with integrating security unit testing into CI workflows complemented by innovative solutions for all stages of CI security.
• A passion for building tools that streamline complex workflows while embedding security health checks seamlessly into processes.
• Strong practical experience managing AWS Infrastructure services including EC2, S3, IAM policies; exposure to Azure or GCP is advantageous but not essential.
• Expertise in automating infrastructure deployment using Terraform or CloudFormation (or similar Infrastructure as Code tools).
• Solid understanding of containerisation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm; able to orchestrate deployments at scale.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network architecture design coupled with best practices for cloud security implementations.
• Experience applying Infrastructure as Code principles; familiarity with Agile methodologies supporting digital transformation projects is highly valued.
