Regional Assistant Application Manager (SAP FI/CO)

A leading international organisation in Bangkok is seeking a Regional Assistant Application Manager (SAP FICO Lead) to play a pivotal role in their regional S/4HANA transformation and upgrade projects.

What you'll do:
• Lead the SAP FICO workstream across several countries for regional S/4HANA transformation and upgrade projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Review, validate, and constructively challenge solution designs and deliverables from external system integrators to guarantee adherence to best practices.
• Ensure all solutions comply with SAP S/4HANA standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and overall compliance regulations.
• Oversee configuration, integration, data migration, testing phases, cutover activities, and deployment processes for SAP FICO modules.
• Act as the quality gatekeeper for FICO solutions by monitoring project deliverables and maintaining high standards throughout each phase.
• Support solution decisions by facilitating issue resolution, managing risks effectively, and handling project escalations in a timely manner.
• Perform thorough quality assurance on vendor deliverables including solution design reviews, testing procedures, change requests management, deployment protocols, and documentation accuracy.
• Monitor vendor performance closely and provide constructive feedback or challenge proposed solutions when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimisation, standardisation of workflows, governance enhancement, and compliance reinforcement.
• Collaborate extensively with regional business units and IT stakeholders while being prepared to travel across the region as required.

What you bring:
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience working with SAP systems with deep expertise in SAP FICO modules.
• Proven track record in implementing or upgrading SAP S/4HANA projects at a regional or multi-country scale.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cross-functional integration between SAP modules
• Extensive experience reviewing solution designs for accuracy and compliance during data migration, testing phases, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with external system integrators or SAP vendors while maintaining high standards of governance.
• Exceptional analytical skills paired with strong problem-solving abilities for solution review processes.
• Capacity to independently validate solutions by challenging assumptions constructively before approval.
• Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities combined with excellent communication skills for building trustful relationships across teams.
• A robust mindset focused on governance principles as well as quality assurance practices related to audit requirements and compliance standards.
• Comfortable transitioning from hands-on functional roles into positions of solution leadership where governance is paramount.
