A leading organisation in Bangkok is seeking an ERP Business Analyst to join their team and play a pivotal role in transforming business processes through technology. This opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with management and IT professionals, driving impactful projects that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

What you'll do:

As an ERP Business Analyst based in Bangkok, you will immerse yourself in a variety of projects aimed at optimising business operations through technology. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with department heads to gather requirements, preparing insightful presentations for management, designing ad-hoc analyses on critical metrics, and documenting specifications for new solutions. You will act as a bridge between business users and IT teams, ensuring that all solutions are tailored to organisational needs. By prioritising initiatives according to strategic goals, supporting UAT testing efforts, monitoring project deliverables, and keeping abreast of industry advancements, you will contribute significantly to the company's growth. Success in this role requires a commitment to co-operation, attention to detail, responsiveness to changing priorities, and a passion for sharing knowledge within a supportive environment.

  • Gather requirements from Heads of Department and Management Team on business opportunities or issues, preparing detailed project proposals, business cases, and informative presentations that clearly communicate findings.
  • Design ad-hoc analyses on key business metrics, presenting results in clear and actionable formats to provide management with visibility and support effective decision-making.
  • Evaluate existing business processes by anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, analysing solutions, and conducting Requirement Specification (RS) documentation.
  • Work closely with Business Module Owners (BMO) and the IT Department to ensure seamless communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet both business needs and requirements by maintaining open lines of communication with all relevant parties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on evolving business needs and requirements, balancing multiple projects while maintaining focus on delivering value.
  • Co-operate with BMOs and Business Users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitor deliverables across projects, tracking progress against timelines to guarantee timely completion of assignments.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest processes and IT advancements in order to automate workflows and modernise systems for greater efficiency.

What you bring:

The ideal ERP Business Analyst brings a solid foundation in computer science or related fields along with substantial experience managing projects or designing IT solutions. Your interpersonal skills enable you to connect effectively with colleagues from various departments while your analytical abilities help you translate complex data into actionable insights. You demonstrate empathy when working with end-users during testing phases and show dependability by consistently meeting deadlines. Your understanding of requirement specification documentation allows you to capture stakeholder needs accurately. While knowledge of the shipping industry would be beneficial, your willingness to learn new processes sets you apart. Your commitment to continuous improvement ensures that every initiative contributes positively towards organisational objectives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or any IT-related field is required for this position.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in business analysis, project management, product or process management, or IT solution design is essential.
  • Excellent command of English is necessary for effective communication across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by a track record of completing complex project assignments successfully.
  • Initiative in identifying opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements is highly valued.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams including BMOs, IT professionals, and business users during all phases of project delivery.
