Regional AI lead ( FMCG)

* Our client, a Thai leading serving the hospitality and foodservice industry, currently they are looking for an experienced Regional AI lead to drive AI strategy, adoption, and transformation across eight business units.

• This is a newly created strategic role for a hands-on technology leader who can turn AI opportunities into practical solutions, drive organisation-wide adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes across multiple markets.
• As AI Lead, you will shape and execute the organisation's AI strategy, leading the implementation, adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of AI capabilities across business functions and markets.
• Working closely with senior leadership, business units, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and external technology partners, you will identify high-impact AI opportunities, prioritise investments, and ensure AI is adopted responsibly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategy & Roadmap: Define the regional AI strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities, identifying opportunities that deliver meaningful business value.
• End-to-End AI Delivery: Lead AI initiatives from stakeholder engagement and impact assessment through prototyping, implementation, adoption tracking, and continuous improvement.
• Enterprise-Wide Adoption: Develop adoption programmes, establish AI champions across business units, and work with senior leaders to embed AI into everyday workflows.
• AI Governance & Risk: Establish governance standards covering human oversight, transparency, accountability, documentation, data protection, and responsible AI use.
• Performance & Insights: Develop adoption dashboards, assess AI fluency, monitor usage and business impact, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Innovation & Prototyping: Build and test practical AI prototypes that address real business challenges, working closely with business teams to accelerate implementation.
• Stakeholder & Change Management: Partner with HR and cross-functional leaders to build AI capabilities, drive change readiness, and overcome barriers to adoption.

Key Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in technology and digital transformation.
• 10+ years of technology experience, with demonstrable leadership in AI, data, software engineering, or technology delivery.
• Proven success in delivering AI or digital transformation initiatives beyond pilot projects into sustained, measurable business adoption.
• Hands-on experience building AI solutions from concept and architecture through prototyping, production, and scaling.
• Strong technical knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, data models, cloud architecture, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Experience with SAP, Python, and SQL is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, data protection, cybersecurity, and IT risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-country environment, with a hands-on approach to solving business problems and driving change.
