What you'll do:

• Guide, mentor, and develop DevOps and Platform Engineering teams within an Agile framework to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting continuous improvement initiatives and shared platform ownership across regional and global teams.
• Partner with software engineering teams, architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between platform capabilities and business objectives.
• Lead efforts to enhance software delivery processes by improving CI/CD maturity, release reliability, developer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Define and execute the overall platform engineering strategy including technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and best practice guidelines.
• Take technical ownership of strategic projects with accountability for decision-making and successful outcomes.
• Design and oversee scalable CI/CD pipelines as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud-native platforms, microservices architectures, and serverless solutions.
• Build out cloud platform capabilities leveraging AWS services and Kubernetes environments to support robust application delivery.
• Drive automation throughout deployment processes, monitoring systems, operations workflows, and engineering activities to streamline performance.
• Establish observability practices using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana while leading incident management protocols to ensure operational resilience.

What you bring:
• A background in Software Development or Application Engineering with proven experience supporting software delivery lifecycles is highly desirable for this position.
• At least 6 years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or related fields is required to ensure you can effectively lead complex technical initiatives.
• Deep expertise in DevOps methodologies including CI/CD implementation, release automation processes, and platform engineering best practices is vital for this role.
• Demonstrated success in leading or developing engineering teams within Agile environments is essential for fostering collaboration across diverse groups.
• Experience managing priorities across multiple teams or regions will enable you to coordinate large-scale projects efficiently.
• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture principles as well as application development processes is expected from candidates at this level.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services alongside Kubernetes platforms is required to build robust infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm or Ansible is important for automating deployments at scale.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures as well as serverless computing models will allow you to design modern application platforms.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI pipelines along with SonarQube or Nexus toolchains supports efficient code quality management.
• A solid grasp of cloud security concepts including DevSecOps practices plus frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 or PCI-DSS is necessary for safeguarding data integrity.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is mandatory for this position to validate your technical proficiency.
• Fluent English communication skills both written and spoken are essential given the international scope of the role.
