A leading global chemical company is seeking a Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific region to drive the growth and success of its Polymer Compounds Business Group.

This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape and execute regional commercial and marketing strategies to create a high-performing APAC sales team and ensuring they deliver on ambitious business and financial objectives.

With a strong focus on collaboration, you will work hand-in-hand with Product Management teams to identify new opportunities, expand existing customer relationships, and champion cross-selling initiatives supported by targeted marketing campaigns.

* Shape and implement regional commercial strategies for the APAC, working collaboratively with global teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals and market trends.

* Lead, mentor, and support a diverse sales team across multiple countries in Asia Pacific, focusing on their ongoing development, engagement, and ability to achieve ambitious sales targets through best-in-class practices.

* Drive market expansion by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and leveraging cross-selling initiatives supported by robust marketing activities and customer segmentation strategies.

What you'll do:

As Head of Sales Asia Pacific, you will play a central role in shaping the future direction of this new set up Chemical Business. You will be the spearhead to form and unite this APAC team to align in the same direction while you will be the one who cascade global direction and goal of this team. You will also play leader role to lead, inspire, and drive them to achieve the growth and set effective sales strategies to maintain high performing team.

* Develop comprehensive annual sales plans that support high-level organisational growth objectives by analysing market size, potential, needs of the APAC region, and competitive landscape.

* Translate strategic growth initiatives into actionable sales plans and quotas that are underpinned by industry-leading sales operations processes.

* Ensure efficient geographical coverage across the APAC region while maximising cross-selling opportunities to fully realise business potential in terms of both sales volume and profitability.

* Drive continuous improvement in sales force effectiveness through win-loss analysis, implementation of key operating systems such as CRM tools, and regular review of performance metrics.

* Direct the execution of sales policies and practices by planning standard work processes, training programmes, workshops on value propositions, product positioning, and use of marketing tools.

* Recommend improvements to sales strategies based on thorough market research and competitor analysis to maintain a strong market position.

* Build, manage, coach, and mentor high-performing sales teams to deliver exceptional service and support activities throughout the region.

* Foster engagement within the sales team by facilitating change management initiatives as needed to adapt to evolving market conditions.

* Collaborate closely with Global Planning Division and Regional Heads to set realistic yet challenging regional sales targets while monitoring profitability drivers for each product line.

* Participate actively in annual business planning processes by providing accurate forecasts and insights based on deep regional market knowledge.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Sales Asia Pacific, you will bring an impressive background in managing B2B sales environments across countries within chemical or related industry.

Strong leadership and strong people skill is highly needed to form and unite team members from diverse culture in different locations together.

Your analytical mindset enables you to interpret shifting market dynamics quickly so that your team remains agile & responsive amid changing conditions.

Ability to travel around 25% is required in order to connect and build trust with clients and team in other countries

Familiarity with digital tools such as CRM platforms ensures operational excellence at every stage—from prospecting new leads right through post-sale follow-up activities.

* Extensive experience managing large-scale B2B sales operations within the chemicals or polymer compounds sector across multiple countries in Asia Pacific.

* Proven track record in developing successful commercial strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth while enhancing market share.

*Experience in working with Automotive clients will be benefit to this role

* Expertise in implementing advanced CRM systems along with other digital tools designed for key account management or strategic selling initiatives.

* Deep understanding of customer segmentation techniques coupled with hands-on experience executing targeted marketing campaigns that support cross-selling objectives.

* Solid grasp of financial principles relevant to setting budgets; monitoring profitability drivers; negotiating contracts; managing credit exposure risks; ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

* Experience participating in industry conferences/trade events—leveraging these platforms for networking & gathering valuable market intelligence insights.
