Our client is a global leader in FMCG industry, with a portfolio of well-loved food brands enjoyed by consumers worldwide. They are looking for a Channel Development Manager to lead channel strategy and execution across Thailand's Modern Trade (Hypermarket & Supermarket) channel.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with commercial execution, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and distributor partners to accelerate category growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute channel strategies to drive sustainable growth across Hypermarket and Supermarket customers.
- Define channel priorities, assortment, visibility, promotion, and distribution strategies.
- Partner closely with Key Account Sales and distributors to ensure excellent execution at store level.
- Analyze sales performance, shopper insights, and market trends to identify business opportunities.
- Monitor key commercial KPIs including sales, distribution, stock availability, promotion effectiveness, and in-store execution.
- Translate regional channel initiatives into effective local execution plans.
- Support annual business planning, volume forecasting, and trade investment management.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams.
- Recommend actionable strategies to improve category performance and customer growth.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
- 5-8 years' experience in Channel Development, Trade Marketing, Sales Development, or Commercial roles within FMCG.
- Strong understanding of Thailand Modern Trade, particularly Hypermarket and Supermarket channels.
- Experience working with leading retailers such as Lotus's, Big C, Tops, Gourmet Market, Foodland, Makro, or similar.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into business opportunities.
- Experience managing distributors and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Nielsen, Circana (IRI), or similar market data.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in Thai and English.
