This R&D Supervisor role offers an opportunity to lead bakery and confectionery product innovation from concept to launch by shaping strategy, developing formulations, and sourcing raw materials. Working within a supportive, collaborative environment, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams—including sales, marketing, and technical advisors—to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations and cost-efficiency goals. The position idealizes a food science professional with at least 5 years of bakery and confectionery experience who thrives on driving continuous improvement, ensuring food safety compliance, and fostering team growth.

What you'll do:

• Develop new bakery and confectionery prototypes from concept to meet customer and company standards and adapt existing recipes to optimize costs and efficiency without sacrificing quality or taste.
• Identify and assess new raw materials based on taste, quality, supply reliability, and process compatibility.
• Coordinate cross-departmentally to conduct pilot trial runs, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to full production.
• Investigate product non-conformities and handle customer complaints by executing corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as a technical expert for internal teams and clients to deliver clear product information and support.
• Manage, control, and distribute R&D documentation to comply with company and industry standards.
• Report food safety concerns through designated channels and contribute ideas for process optimization and operational excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support broader team goals.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science (or related field) with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in bakery and confectionery product development.
• Excellent command of English (written, spoken, read) and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to guide, mentor, and empower junior staff while driving group efforts toward shared goals.
• Proactive, adaptable, and composed under pressure, with a positive, approachable attitude and a collaborative mindset.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office for administrative and project tasks; familiar with industry standards like GMP and HACCP (knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000, Halal, or SAP is a bonus).
