A leading real estate developer is seeking a Head of Product Development to lead a team in driving the transformation of their landed residential portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will take end-to-end ownership of high-impact housing estate projects, spearheading value engineering, design standardization, and construction efficiency to significantly optimize project costs and boost profit margins. This position offers an exceptional platform for a strategic leader to shape modern living spaces, collaborate across business units, and directly influence the company's commercial performance and market competitiveness.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of landed residential projects from conceptual master planning and unit layout design to final working drawings.
• Champion value engineering and analyze Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and cost breakdowns to identify actionable savings and reduce construction costs.
• Standardize house prototypes, floor plans, structural systems (e.g., precast or conventional), and material palettes to unlock economies of scale across project phases.
• Partner with Procurement, Cost Control, and Construction teams to optimize material selection, minimize site waste, and secure advantageous supplier terms.
• Balance modern aesthetics, functional living space, and commercial viability, incorporating customer feedback, sales trends, and competitor insights to refine future house models.
• Report on product development pipelines, cost reduction targets, design milestones, and strategic alignment with overall profit margin goals.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, draftsmen, civil/structural engineers, and product specialists to drive operational excellence.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture (strongly preferred) or Civil Engineering with relevant industry experience.
• 10+ years in product development, design management, or architectural roles focusing specifically on landed residential and housing estate developments.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings through value engineering and extensive hands-on experience in BOQ structures, unit rate analysis, and detailed cost reviews for low-rise projects.
• Experience with high-volume residential developers is highly preferred
• Deep understanding of land housing design principles, modern construction methods, and residential material selection.
• Proven capability to mentor, lead, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams of architects, draftsmen, and engineers.
• Strong business mindset that balances design quality with profitability, paired with exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
