What you'll do:

As the Indirect Procurement Manager for Engineering Services and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s procurement strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust sourcing plans that deliver tangible cost savings while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) as well as engineering services to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Identify business opportunities by analysing spend data and market trends to deliver measurable cost reductions across indirect procurement categories.
  • Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) procurement projects from initial requirements gathering through supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and delivery.
  • Streamline procurement processes by introducing best practices that enhance collaboration between users, operations teams, and suppliers.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including engineering, maintenance, operations, and finance departments to ensure alignment on procurement objectives.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations using agreed metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality, service levels, and value.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Indirect Procurement Manager role brings proven experience in engineering disciplines—preferably mechanical or electrical—which enables you to understand complex technical specifications when procuring goods or services.

  • Mandatory: Possess an engineering degree with specialisation in mechanical or electrical disciplines; this foundational knowledge is essential for understanding technical requirements within procurement categories.
  • Mandatory: Demonstrate familiarity with Maintenance, Repair, Reporting (MRO), and services categories; your experience should include managing these areas within an industrial or engineering context.

  • Exhibit proficiency in English communication—both written and spoken—to effectively engage with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
