An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sourcing Manager in Bangkok to shape regional sourcing strategies within the apparel sector, where you will be empowered to optimize vendor relationships, drive diversification, and ensure seamless execution from concept through to mass production. What you'll do:

  • Provide clear direction and decision-making for assigned product categories, aligning sourcing activities with organizational growth, capability assessments, and capacity requirements.
  • Oversee the full process from receiving technical packs and design briefs through to product allocation, vendor negotiation, sample tracking, and timely product launches.
  • Cultivate robust, long-term relationships with current and prospective vendors.
  • Regularly evaluate vendor performance and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Optimize the vendor matrix quarterly through consolidation and rationalization to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify new raw material and garment suppliers while negotiating favourable terms.
  • Lead initiatives to diversify the regional sourcing footprint, proactively mitigating supply chain risks while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
  • Partner closely with design, marketing, supply chain, planning, technical, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain constant communication with vendors and regional quality teams to proactively resolve production issues and ensure 100% adherence to global sourcing policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching team members and facilitating knowledge-sharing and problem-solving sessions.

What you bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a related field.
  • At least seven years of experience in the textile industry.
  • Minimum of five years at a management level overseeing purchasing, merchandising, or operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end sourcing processes, from initial design briefs and vendor negotiations through to mass production.
  • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals while managing complex, multi-regional vendor networks.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization, cost improvement, and achieving measurable results.
  • Adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments and respond quickly to shifting market conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, including coaching, motivation, and performance management.
  • Exceptional ability to build trust-based, collaborative relationships with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders (e.g., design, supply chain, quality assurance, and compliance).
  • Strong influence and conflict-resolution skills, capable of navigating multicultural environments effectively.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in an additional Asian language is highly advantageous.
  • High ethical standards and integrity, with a steadfast commitment to upholding company values and global compliance standards.
