What you'll do:

• Lead the sourcing of materials and finished goods from OEMs primarily located in China and Vietnam, ensuring all components meet stringent innovation and quality standards.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle for new apparel lines, including ideation, prototyping, trial batch production, rigorous quality checks, and successful first launch.
• Collaborate closely with international suppliers to identify emerging textile technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement in speed-to-market processes by streamlining communication between design teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate minor product renovations to keep existing lines fresh and appealing.
• Ensure all new product developments align with key performance indicators focused on innovation, rapid delivery timelines, and uncompromising quality.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including planning, supply chain management, and operations to facilitate smooth handover post-launch for ongoing production efficiency.
• Monitor global trends in textile manufacturing to proactively recommend enhancements or new directions for future collections.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.
• Proven experience in sourcing materials or finished goods from international OEMs within the apparel sector, especially those based in China or Vietnam with a strong understanding of local business practices.
• Demonstrated track record in managing end-to-end product development cycles for textiles or apparel products from ideation through prototyping to commercial launch.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase of development.
• A deep passion for innovation within textiles and an eagerness to stay abreast of emerging trends.
• Adaptability when navigating shifting priorities or unexpected challenges inherent in developing novel products for competitive markets.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Vietnamese would be highly advantageous when liaising with overseas partners.
