What you'll do:

As Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of designing robust systems that underpin the entire supply chain operation for this new retail business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating all aspects of warehousing - from receiving stock through to dispatch—while ensuring that every store receives timely deliveries in line with demand.

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end warehouse and logistics processes to ensure full operational readiness for the launch of a new retail business, including overseeing both fleet management and warehouse setup.
• Manage all daily activities related to scheduling trucks, coordinating deliveries, receiving goods, packing orders, and dispatching products to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Ensure stores are consistently supplied on time with accurate volumes of goods by maintaining close communication with internal teams and external partners.
• Implement strategies to minimise shrinkage rates and maintain extremely low operational costs without compromising service quality or safety standards.
• Drive productivity improvements across all areas of warehouse and logistics by monitoring performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and introducing best practices.
• Promote safe working practices throughout all operations by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and governance policies at every stage of the process.
• Lead, motivate, and nurture a high-performing team by providing clear direction, ongoing support, training opportunities, and fostering an inclusive culture built on trust and respect
  
  

What you bring:

To excel as Warehouse and Logistics Manager in this dynamic environment, you will bring extensive hands-on experience gained from previous roles overseeing complex supply chain functions. Your background should include exposure to both strategic planning—such as designing new processes—and operational execution—such as managing fleets or supervising warehouse staff.

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics management within a retail or similar fast-moving consumer goods environment is essential for this role.
• Demonstrated passion for business growth combined with the energy required to thrive in a start-up setting where adaptability is key.
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work independently without supervision while also being able to guide others towards shared goals.
