Senior Associate (Litigation)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Litigation to join a distinguished disputes and insurance practice in Bangkok. This position is ideally suited to an accomplished lawyer with 6–8 years’ post-qualification experience, who seeks to engage with high-profile, intricate, and multi-jurisdictional litigation matters.

What you'll do:

* Serve as a senior member of the disputes team by overseeing the day-to-day progression of complex insurance and commercial litigation matters for both local and international clients.

* Direct Thai court proceedings by formulating case strategies alongside partners, preparing pleadings, managing evidentiary matters, and attending hearings and trials to ensure effective representation.

* Advise international insurers, corporates, and financial institutions on contentious issues such as insurance coverage disputes, financial lines claims, and other commercial litigation matters.

* Supervise disputes involving cross-border elements by coordinating international arbitration and multi-jurisdictional litigation in conjunction with foreign counsel.

* Support business development initiatives through client briefings, legal updates, and active participation in industry events to enhance the team's profile.

* Contribute to the professional growth of junior lawyers by providing guidance, constructive feedback, and support within the team.

What you bring:

* Possess 6–8 years’ post-qualification experience practicing law in Thailand with a demonstrable record in commercial litigation before Thai courts.

* Bring experience assisting with cross-border or international disputes such as arbitration or multi-jurisdictional litigation; this is highly desirable but not mandatory.

* Display prior involvement in insurance-related disputes or advising insurers; this is preferred though not essential for consideration.

* Hold full qualification to practice law in Thailand underpinned by robust academic credentials that reflect your commitment to excellence.

* Demonstrate considerable experience managing procedural steps in litigation including drafting key pleadings and representing clients at hearings.
