Head of Litigation

A leading organisation in Bangkok is seeking a highly strategic Head of Litigation and Dispute Management to oversee enterprise-wide litigation strategy and complex dispute resolution.

What you'll do:

* Lead the organisation’s litigation and dispute resolution strategy by proactively identifying risks and developing comprehensive approaches to minimise exposure.

* Manage legal risk impacting business operations, revenue streams, reputation, and governance through preventive strategies tailored to organisational needs.

* Advise senior executives on high-impact legal matters by providing commercially balanced guidance that supports strategic business decisions.

* Oversee complex civil, criminal, administrative, and arbitration cases from inception through resolution, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

* Direct negotiation, settlement, mediation, and litigation tactics while managing external counsel and law firms for optimal outcomes.

* Monitor legal trends, court decisions, and potential litigation exposure across all areas of the organisation to inform proactive risk management.

* Collaborate closely with Property Management, Construction, Sales, Customer Relations, Procurement, and Land Acquisition teams to support their operational needs.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing operational disputes through process enhancements and knowledge sharing.

* Establish governance frameworks including KPIs, legal standards, and best practices for the litigation function.

* Promote a culture of risk awareness and solution-oriented legal support throughout the organisation by mentoring team members and fostering open communication.

What you bring:

* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Law is required for this position as it forms the foundation for advanced legal practice.

* 12–15+ years of experience in Litigation or Dispute Resolution demonstrates your depth of expertise handling complex cases.

* Proven leadership experience managing corporate litigation teams ensures you can guide others effectively within a collaborative environment.

* Experience in real estate, construction or complex commercial environments is highly preferred due to the nature of disputes encountered.

* Ability to handle high-value and strategically sensitive disputes showcases your dependability under pressure.

* Strong negotiation skills are essential for achieving favourable outcomes during settlements or mediations.

* Stakeholder management abilities allow you to build trust-based relationships across multiple business units.

* Commercial mindset combined with strategic thinking enables you to balance legal considerations with business priorities.
