  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities and ongoing training initiatives designed to help you stay at the forefront of human resources management while making a meaningful difference within the organisation.

What you'll do:

As General Manager Human Resources, you will be entrusted with driving both operational excellence and strategic transformation within the HR function. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various departments to deploy new global policies, managing complex employee relations issues with sensitivity, and leading projects focused on compensation benchmarking and HROD alignment. You will play a crucial role in supporting managers through clear communication of HR policies while identifying opportunities for process enhancements that benefit both employees and the wider business. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

  • Oversee the implementation of new global human resources policies across all business units, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage employee relations issues including labour cases, fostering a harmonious work environment through empathetic communication and fair resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, revise, and benchmark allowances and compensation structures using industry standards such as MERCER.
  • Drive alignment between Human Resources Operations and Development (HROD), ensuring consistency in talent management practices throughout the organisation.
  • Support managers and employees by providing guidance on HR matters, promoting understanding of policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within HR operations, recommending and executing strategies that enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by supporting programmes that create an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented policies and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate training sessions to upskill HR staff and ensure consistent application of best practices across all levels of the organisation.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the General Manager Human Resources position brings extensive experience overseeing complex HR operations within sizeable organisations. Your background demonstrates not only technical expertise but also an empathetic approach when handling sensitive matters such as employee relations or policy deployment. You possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport quickly with colleagues from different backgrounds while maintaining clarity in all communications. Your familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools like MERCER ensures you can provide informed recommendations on pay structures. Above all else, your dedication to continuous improvement—combined with your ability to foster collaboration—will set you apart as someone who truly makes a difference within the HR community.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale HR operations within complex organisations, showcasing your ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic improvements that have led to measurable enhancements in HR processes or employee engagement.
  • Exceptional team collaboration skills with a focus on nurturing talent, building trust among colleagues, and encouraging knowledge sharing across functions.
  • Outstanding English communication abilities—both written and spoken—enabling you to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities supported by analytical thinking and a compassionate approach to resolving sensitive issues such as labour cases or employee disputes.
  • Experience deploying global HR policies while adapting them thoughtfully to local contexts without compromising compliance or cultural fit.
  • Familiarity with compensation review methodologies such as MERCER or similar benchmarking tools, allowing you to provide valuable insights into market competitiveness.
  • Ability to align Human Resources Operations & Development (HROD) initiatives seamlessly across diverse teams for maximum organisational impact.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of HR management while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the workforce.
