TEAM HEAD OF TOTAL REWARDS AND PERFORMANCE

* Take ownership of total rewards strategy, designing variable bonus and long-term incentive plans that align with business performance and regulatory requirements.
* Lead the transition from traditional appraisals to outcome-based performance management, ensuring every role is connected to strategic pillars such as growth and customer satisfaction.
*Work closely with HRBP, stakeholders and Line Managers in terms of employee relations case or any related communications regarding employee's wellbeing, compensation, benefits and labor law
* Champion HR technology optimisation, data security, and automation to enhance employee experience while delivering accurate executive reporting and compliance.
What you'll do:
As Team Head of Total Rewards and Performance, you will play a central role in shaping how the organisation invests in its people. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders such as finance leaders, business unit heads, remuneration committees, and people experience teams. You will design incentive structures that motivate employees while maintaining regulatory compliance. You will lead the transformation of performance management processes by implementing outcome-based frameworks that connect individual roles to strategic objectives. Your expertise in HR technology will enable you to optimise systems for efficiency and security. By producing insightful reports for executive decision-makers, you will help drive evidence-based strategies that retain top talent and promote fairness across the workforce. Success in this role requires a passion for data-driven solutions, a commitment to ethical practices, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
* Oversee annual salary reviews by managing relationships with survey providers to ensure competitive pay for performance without overpaying.
* Manage the total staff cost budget by conducting rigorous scenario planning for remuneration committees to determine bonus pool sizes based on profitability.
* Transition the organisation from tick-box appraisals to outcome-based performance management by developing robust OKR/KPI architecture linked to strategic business pillars and job architecture, job evaluation and job grading to work towards company's future
* Design legally robust frameworks for performance improvement plans that are respectful and supportive of underperforming employees.
* Own the HRIS roadmap by optimising systems, ensuring data security, and automating manual workflows to improve employee experience.
* Produce monthly board packs by translating raw HR data into actionable insights such as turnover costs, revenue per headcount, diversity metrics, and overtime risks.
* Ensure payroll accuracy with a zero-error mandate by overseeing timely processing and compliance with local labour laws.
* Prepare high-quality papers for boards or remuneration committees justifying executive pay proposals using market data and performance evidence.
What you bring:
To excel as Team Head of Total Rewards and Performance, your extensive background in financial services or related industries will be invaluable. Your proven ability to design effective incentive plans demonstrates both technical skill and sensitivity to regulatory demands. Experience managing HRIS projects equips you with the tools needed for system optimisation and process automation. Exposure to board-level reporting ensures you can communicate complex ideas clearly while supporting executive decision-making. Your interpersonal skills foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders while your commitment to fairness supports retention of high performers.
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or related fields; MBA or master’s degree is preferred for advanced analytical capability.
* 12-15 years’ experience in human resources within financial services, insurance, banking or asset management sectors with at least 5 years in a people manager role.
* Proven track record of designing incentive plans and executive compensation packages that balance motivation with regulatory compliance.
* Experience managing significant HRIS implementations or upgrades demonstrating technical proficiency in system optimisation.
* Mandatory exposure to board-level or remuneration committee reporting including preparation of technical papers on compensation proposals.
* Experience working with regional or group-level stakeholders is preferred for broader perspective on compensation benchmarking.
* Expertise in compensation modelling including job evaluation techniques and deferred compensation structures.
* Understanding tax implications related to cross-border pay on complex executive packages ensuring legal compliance.
* Ability to visualise complex data sets for clear communication of compensation trends and insights to senior leadership.
* Commercial acumen combined with unshakable integrity; skilled at translating complex compensation data into compelling narratives.
