What you'll do:

As Chief Operating Officer – Education Sector based in Chonburi, you will play an integral role in orchestrating the daily operations that underpin the school’s reputation for excellence. Your responsibilities will span estates management—ensuring buildings are safe and well-maintained—through to overseeing technology systems that facilitate learning. You will work collaboratively with academic leaders to anticipate needs and deliver solutions that enhance both educational outcomes and community life. Success in this role requires you to set high standards for service delivery while fostering a culture of teamwork among multidisciplinary staff. You will be instrumental in driving improvements across procurement processes, contract management, business continuity planning and regulatory compliance. By building strong relationships internally and externally—with suppliers, contractors and regulatory bodies—you will help sustain an environment where students thrive academically and personally. Your day-to-day focus will be on converting strategic goals into actionable plans that deliver measurable results across all aspects of non-academic operations.

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans that align with the school’s strategic objectives and ensure seamless delivery of services across all departments.
• Oversee the management of facilities including estates maintenance, capital projects, health and safety compliance, and safeguarding protocols to create a safe and nurturing environment for students and staff.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for non-academic functions such as technology infrastructure, procurement processes, major contracts administration, and business continuity planning.
• Establish service standards and performance measures for all operational areas to drive continuous improvement and enhance the quality of education and community life.
• Collaborate closely with academic leaders to ensure that operational support meets the evolving needs of teaching, learning, boarding, and extracurricular activities.
• Manage budgets effectively by monitoring expenditure on facilities, services, technology upgrades, and commercial ventures while ensuring value for money through robust procurement practices.
• Ensure compliance with Thai regulatory requirements related to health and safety, data protection, safeguarding children and young people, using appropriate professional advice when necessary.
• Foster a culture of teamwork by supporting staff development through training opportunities and promoting inter-personal communication across departments.
• Drive service improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement in operational delivery and implementing best practices from education or other safety-critical sectors.

• Demonstrated expertise in estates management including capital project delivery, major contract negotiation/administration, procurement strategies and service improvement initiatives.
• Sound understanding of health & safety regulations; safeguarding protocols; business continuity planning; data protection requirements; with ability to apply Thai legal frameworks using professional advice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with academic leaders as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers or regulators.
• Ability to manage large budgets responsibly while ensuring value for money through robust procurement practices.
• Experience fostering team development through training opportunities coupled with commitment to promoting inclusive workplace culture.
• Strong organisational skills allowing you to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for operational delivery.
