What you'll do:

As Country Manager – IVD, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infectious disease diagnostics across Thailand and neighboring CLM markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve steering strategic initiatives that enhance product reach and impact while collaborating with regional leaders to ensure seamless integration of business objectives. You will nurture relationships with distributors, direct sales teams, and key opinion leaders to foster trust and loyalty within the network. By guiding an exclusive agency team dedicated to execution, you will cultivate an environment where empathy, cooperation, and knowledge sharing are paramount. Success in this role requires you to address pricing challenges thoughtfully, manage complex business structures with sensitivity, and uphold rigorous financial standards. Your ability to champion inclusive practices will be instrumental in building a supportive workplace where every team member feels valued.

  • Oversee the strategic direction and operational management of the In Vitro Diagnostics portfolio, ensuring alignment with regional goals and market needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the SEA General Manager and cross-functional teams to drive business growth while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), distributors, and direct sales teams to ensure effective execution of business strategies across Thailand and CLM countries.
  • Lead an exclusive agency team of 18 professionals dedicated to execution, fostering a culture of cooperation, empathy, and shared success.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that address previous challenges while remaining sensitive to market expectations and customer needs.
  • Monitor P&L performance rigorously, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and achievement of Last Best Target objectives.
  • Guide tender management processes with consideration for communal goals, nurturing dependable partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Support people management initiatives by providing warm guidance, empathetic feedback, and nurturing talent within the team structure.
  • Champion inclusive practices that promote interpersonal connections among team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Address business complexity through thoughtful problem-solving, leveraging your understanding of market dynamics to create sustainable solutions.

  • Extensive experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), particularly within core laboratory or pharmaceutical settings.
  • Proven track record in distributor management and tender management processes within healthcare or diagnostics sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in people management with a compassionate approach that encourages collaboration and growth.
  • Strong background in P&L management with an understanding of Last Best Target methodologies for achieving ambitious goals.
  • Ability to navigate complex business environments with sensitivity to pricing issues and market expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that foster trustful relationships with colleagues, partners, and customers across diverse cultures.
  • Commitment to inclusive leadership practices that support under-represented groups within the organisation.
  • Experience working within hybrid models or flexible working environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable about infectious disease diagnostics including HIV, Dengue Malaria (Vector Bond), Hepatitis Infectious, STD diagnostics.
  • Fluent communication skills in English; additional language abilities relevant to Southeast Asia are considered beneficial.
