What you'll do:
As a Senior Project Manager Exhibition based in Bangkok, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of orchestrating complex exhibition projects from conception through completion. Your day-to-day will involve not only managing multiple concurrent events but also developing strategic plans that address every aspect of the project lifecycle. You will nurture your team’s growth by providing mentorship while ensuring that all activities are aligned with broader organisational objectives. By monitoring sales performance metrics and analysing data-driven insights into project progress or financial results, you will play an instrumental role in driving success. Your ability to collaborate effectively across departments ensures seamless operations during busy event periods. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to creating exceptional experiences for exhibitors and visitors alike while supporting the company’s reputation as an industry leader.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple exhibition and event projects, ensuring each project achieves its financial targets, maintains high-quality standards, and is delivered on schedule.
- Develop comprehensive project strategies and detailed execution plans that cover pre-event preparations, on-site operations management, and thorough post-event evaluations.
- Mentor and support a team of Project Managers by providing guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help them achieve their full potential within a collaborative environment.
- Monitor exhibitor sales performance closely while also tracking buyer and visitor acquisition activities to ensure robust participation and engagement at every event.
- Analyse overall project progress regularly by reviewing key milestones, identifying risks or challenges early on, and implementing solutions that keep projects on track.
- Prepare detailed reports on project performance including financial outcomes, risk assessments, and new business opportunities for presentation to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, logistics, and technical support to ensure smooth coordination throughout all phases of each project.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders at all levels to foster trustful relationships built on transparency and shared goals.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes by gathering feedback from team members and clients alike in order to enhance future project delivery.
What you bring:
To excel as a Senior Project Manager Exhibition in this role based in Bangkok, your background should reflect significant hands-on experience managing large-scale exhibitions or events where attention to detail was paramount. Your fluency in English enables you to build rapport easily with international clients while your polished presentation style helps convey complex information simply. Having previously led teams—whether directly managing Project Managers or guiding cross-functional groups—you understand how important it is to nurture talent through encouragement rather than direction alone. Your commercial awareness means you can balance budgets effectively whilst still delivering outstanding results for clients. Analytical thinking allows you to spot trends or issues before they escalate; meanwhile your interpersonal skills create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued. Familiarity with digital tools used in modern event management will further strengthen your application.
- A minimum of 8–10 years’ proven experience in exhibition management, event management or complex project management roles where you have demonstrated reliability in delivering successful outcomes.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential along with strong presentation skills that allow you to communicate ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage or mentor other Project Managers or lead cross-functional teams towards shared objectives within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional business planning abilities including budgeting expertise and commercial acumen that enable you to maximise profitability without compromising quality.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with sound judgement when dealing with clients or partners from various backgrounds.
- Strong analytical mindset capable of interpreting financial data as well as identifying risks or new business opportunities quickly.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships among colleagues, stakeholders, exhibitors, buyers and visitors alike.
- A collaborative approach that values teamwork over individual achievement while encouraging knowledge sharing across departments.
- Experience using modern project management tools or software platforms relevant to exhibitions or events is highly desirable.
