Supplier Quality Engineer – Recycled Packaging

A leading global organisation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in recycled packaging to join their team in Bangkok. What you'll do:

  • Represent the Quality function in new product development, production line qualification, and recycled packaging initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality and recycled plastics standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems, control plans, and specifications for recycled materials and packaging to ensure supplier consistency and manufacturing compliance.
  • Investigate quality issues, review resin converter laboratory results, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Monitor quality metrics and analyse material reconciliation data to support operational performance and supply chain decision-making.
  • Conduct supplier and feedstock audits, transfer global quality standards and methodologies to local suppliers, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across region.
  • Support recycling converter projects and other quality-related initiatives in alignment with evolving business and operational needs.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic recycling processes, recycled resin manufacturing, or plastic converter operations is required.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic materials, recycling processes, resin manufacturing, and industry best practices, including familiarity with ISO and ASTM standards and material testing methods such as tensile, flexural, impact, melt flow index, density, and colour analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with preventive quality and problem-solving tools such as PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to analyse experimental and quality data, prepare technical reports and recommendations, and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset and willingness to expand technical and scientific expertise.
  • Fluent Thai and English communication skills, with willingness to travel across the region up to 50%.
