Plant Manager – Assembly

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Plant Manager – Assembly to lead the launch and growth of its new facility in Chonburi. The role offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to work closely with international teams and make a visible impact as the plant grows. * Lead the new plant set-up and production ramp-up, from facility and equipment readiness through to stable operations. * Build and develop a high-performing local team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Partner with global engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to establish best practices and ensure alignment with international standards.

What you'll do:

• Lead the startup and ramp-up of the new manufacturing plant, overseeing facility readiness, equipment installation, process validation, and production launch.
• Manage low-volume, high-mix operations, balancing quality, flexibility, efficiency, and customer responsiveness.
• Build and develop a strong local team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with regional and global engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to align global standards and best practices.
• Drive a strong safety and compliance culture, ensuring alignment with local regulations and global standards.
• Implement Lean and structured problem-solving to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency as the operation grows.
• Oversee the commissioning and optimisation of production equipment, supporting the adoption of new technologies and processes.
• Build a positive, high-performance culture with a strong focus on teamwork, ownership, and execution.
• Support customer visits, audits, and technical discussions, ensuring the plant meets global expectations for quality and service.
• Maintain high standards of EHS, regulatory compliance, and ethical business practices.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Plant manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in assembly and a multinational environment.
• Proven greenfield startup and production ramp-up experience.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.
• Strong team leadership and people development skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and hands-on leadership style.
• Native Thai and strong English communication and experience working with global teams.
• Experience in precision assembly or advanced materials is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Systems is an advantage.
