You will be at the heart of the business’s operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to manage product certifications, liaise with regulatory authorities, and oversee laboratory testing schedules. • Be the primary point of contact for all regulatory matters related to private label and exclusive brand products, ensuring seamless communication with authorities such as the FDA.
  • Enjoy flexible working opportunities and access to continuous professional development through comprehensive training programmes designed to enhance your expertise.
  • Work within a knowledgeable and dependable team that values collaboration, inclusivity, and supportive leadership, fostering both personal growth and collective success.

What you'll do:

As a Regulatory Specialist Own Brand based in Bangkok, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of private label and exclusive brand products by managing all aspects of regulatory compliance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close interaction with government agencies such as the FDA, overseeing licence applications and renewals while keeping abreast of evolving regulations. You will coordinate laboratory testing schedules, analyse results for potential non-conformities, and ensure that every product meets stringent quality standards before reaching consumers. By collaborating with category managers and other internal stakeholders, you will help streamline documentation processes, facilitate smooth audits or inspections, and provide expert advice on packaging legislation. Your ability to maintain detailed records, respond promptly to quality assurance queries, and support continuous improvement initiatives will be key factors in your success within this vital position.

  • Serve as the main liaison with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for all applications and renewals related to Licences to Operate (LTOs) and Certificates of Product Registration (CPRs), ensuring timely submission and approval.
  • Monitor the status of all LTOs required for business operations, proactively applying for new licences as needed and guaranteeing that existing ones remain current at all times.
  • Manage the application process for CPRs necessary for commercialising private labels and exclusive brands, including tracking renewal dates and maintaining up-to-date records for every product.
  • Coordinate additional permit applications such as sales promotion permits for bundled products or certificates of free sale for export items, ensuring full legal compliance across all activities.
  • Oversee the annual renewal of import licences with relevant authorities such as the Bureau of Customs (BOC), maintaining accurate documentation throughout each cycle.
  • Organise laboratory analysis schedules for all private label and exclusive brand products, dispatching samples promptly, following up on results, and addressing any non-conformities identified during testing.
  • Support quality assurance by responding to queries from internal teams regarding product quality control measures, assisting in product inspections, and providing expert guidance on compliance issues.
  • Ensure that packaging for all products adheres strictly to legislative requirements by reviewing designs, checking documentation accuracy, and supporting cross-functional teams in meeting regulatory standards.
  • Maintain meticulous records of technical sheets for each product line, updating information regularly to reflect changes in formulation or regulatory status.
  • Assist category managers by verifying documentation completeness, supporting them through audits or factory visits when required, and helping resolve any challenges related to regulatory submissions.

What you bring:

To excel as a Regulatory Specialist Own Brand in this organisation’s Bangkok office, you will bring proven experience navigating complex regulatory environments within retail or consumer goods sectors. Your background should include hands-on involvement with product registration processes—such as securing LTOs or CPRs—as well as familiarity with import licensing requirements. You will have developed strong interpersonal skills through regular interactions with government officials while also demonstrating reliability in managing sensitive documentation. Your analytical mindset enables you to interpret laboratory data accurately while your collaborative nature ensures effective teamwork during audits or cross-departmental projects. A keen eye for detail helps you uphold packaging compliance standards consistently across diverse product lines. Above all else, your dedication to continuous learning keeps you informed about emerging trends or legislative changes impacting own brand operations.

  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory affairs within the retail or consumer goods industry, particularly involving private label or exclusive brand products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulations governing food safety, product registration processes (including LTOs and CPRs), import licensing procedures, and packaging legislation.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with government agencies such as the FDA or Bureau of Customs while managing multiple concurrent applications or renewals.
  • Experience in listing a large number of SKUs.
  • Experience in retailer is a plus.
