What you'll do:


As Head of Operations based in Bangkok, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational service delivery within a prominent foreign bank. Your day-to-day activities will involve monitoring market trends for new products, ensuring your team is prepared to support these innovations while maintaining error-free processes across all client segments. You will play a key role in managing operational risk by developing robust frameworks for identification, assessment, mitigation, control, loss identification, and reporting. Success in this role requires you to foster a collaborative environment that supports high morale and job satisfaction among your team members. You will also provide regular performance overviews on operational services while ensuring strategic changes are implemented effectively at local, regional, or global levels. * Ensure error-free and efficient operations across all products and clients by implementing best practices from other markets and maintaining rigorous quality standards.
* Monitor new products in the market, assess their impact on operations, and ensure readiness to support changes or new product launches.
* Support the implementation of new products and onboarding of clients by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration.
* Manage operational risk by identifying, assessing, mitigating, controlling, reporting losses, and maintaining robust risk management frameworks.
* Create an environment that encourages effective teamwork, maintains high morale, and promotes job satisfaction among all team members.
* Provide comprehensive oversight on operation service performance, regularly reviewing metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure successful implementation of local, regional, or global strategic changes within the operations function by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

* Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field is required for this position to ensure deep understanding of financial operations.
* At least 8 years’ experience managing large teams servicing global custodians, broker-dealers, group entities as well as other financial and non-financial institutions.
* Strong analytical skills are essential for evaluating complex operational challenges and identifying effective solutions.
* Resourcefulness combined with energy enables you to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced setting ensures timely completion of multiple priorities without compromising quality.
* Proactive communication skills are vital for engaging clients, counterparts, regulators as well as internal stakeholders with clarity and empathy.
* Wide-ranging experience in operational risk management including identification, assessment, mitigation strategies and loss reporting.
