What you'll do:
As an Equities Post-Trade Operations Manager, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth execution of all post-trade activities associated with equities transactions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close coordination with various internal teams such as trading desks as well as external partners including clients, custodians, brokers, and exchanges. You will be responsible for overseeing critical functions like trade allocation, booking, settlement management, funding oversight, cash flow monitoring, reconciliation tasks, and delivering outstanding client service. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when handling complex transactions under tight deadlines while upholding rigorous risk controls. You will also have the opportunity to drive process enhancements through active participation in efficiency projects and change initiatives. - Oversee the complete post-trade lifecycle for equities transactions, including trade allocation, booking, pre-matching, settlement, funding, cash management, reconciliation, and client servicing to ensure operational excellence.
- Support tight settlement timelines by focusing on T+1 pre-matching and T+2 settlement cycles while maintaining robust cash management practices.
- Collaborate closely with equities trading desks, institutional clients, custodian banks, brokers, exchanges, and regional teams to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
- Ensure strong risk management and control outcomes are achieved across all post-trade processes by adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute actively to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for increased efficiency and participating in change projects that enhance operational workflows.
- Provide exceptional client service by responding promptly to queries and resolving issues related to trade settlements or discrepancies in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all post-trade activities and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts to support audit readiness and compliance standards.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders to share insights on operational challenges and collaborate on solutions that benefit the wider team.
- Monitor market developments relevant to post-trade operations in the region and adapt processes accordingly to maintain high standards of service delivery.
What you bring:
To excel as an Equities Post-Trade Operations Manager you will bring proven experience from securities operations or similar roles where you have managed end-to-end post-trade processes. - Proven track record managing cash flows related to securities transactions along with expertise in reconciliation activities for both local and regional markets.
- Previous experience collaborating with brokers, custodian banks or exchanges is highly desirable given the nature of stakeholder interactions required in this role.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while meeting strict deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality of work output.
- Excellent English communication skills—both written and verbal—enabling effective interaction with diverse teams across different geographies.
