A leading insurance provider in Bangkok is seeking a Claims Director for Non-Motor Insurance to oversee and elevate the management of claims across diverse lines such as Property, Fire, Engineering, Liability, Travel, and more. What you'll do:

As Claims Director Non-Motor Insurance based in Bangkok, you will play a central role in shaping the future of claims management for a respected insurance provider. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing complex claims processes across various lines of business—ensuring every claim is handled with precision and fairness. You will work collaboratively with internal teams such as Underwriting, Legal, Actuarial, and Reinsurance to resolve claim-related issues efficiently. By analysing data trends and preparing strategic insights for senior management, you will contribute directly to optimising financial performance. Your ability to manage claim reserves in line with regulatory standards will be crucial for maintaining compliance. Additionally, you will represent the organisation during negotiations or disputes with external stakeholders while fostering positive relationships throughout the industry.   • Develop and implement strategies and policies for the overall management of non-motor insurance claims in accordance with company goals.
  • Supervise the end-to-end claims process including notification, assessment, approval, and settlement to ensure accuracy, fairness, and timely resolution.
  • Lead and nurture the non-motor claims team across multiple business lines such as Property, Fire, Engineering, Liability, Travel, and other related areas.
  • Enhance operational processes and service standards to deliver greater efficiency, transparency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor claim reserves to guarantee adequacy and compliance with financial standards as well as regulatory requirements including OIC guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Underwriting, Legal, Actuarial, and Reinsurance to support claim-related matters effectively.
  • Analyse claims data thoroughly to track claim ratios and prepare insightful strategic reports for senior management decision-making.
  • Manage claim expenses and risks efficiently to optimise profitability while safeguarding the company’s financial performance.
  • Represent the organisation in claim negotiations and disputes while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulators.

  • Expertise in handling non-motor claims including Property, Fire, Engineering, Liability, Travel or similar lines is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance law along with claim regulations and compliance requirements such as OIC guidelines is necessary.
  • Exceptional analytical skills paired with a strategic mindset enable you to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Proven leadership abilities allow you to guide large diverse teams towards shared goals within an inclusive environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills facilitate effective collaboration across internal teams as well as external stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications like ANZIIF or CII or an OIC license are considered advantageous but not mandatory.
