Managing Director – Gold Business

Our client is a leading Thai alternative financial services company specialising in asset-backed financing and consumer financial solutions. The company is expanding its gold business, financial services, and digital capabilities, with a strong focus on innovation, AI, and serving both retail customers and entrepreneurs

Key Responsibilities

• Build a high-performance culture based on accountability, transparency, operational excellence, and strong corporate values.
• Define and execute the company’s short- and long-term business strategy, vision, and annual operating plans to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
• Lead and present business strategies, financial performance, and commercial updates to the Board of Directors
• Oversee and expand a nationwide while transforming front-line operations and customer experience and establish consistent branch operating standards, service quality, and performance management to achieve retail targets.
• Lead the end-to-end gold trading and retail financial services business, including Gold Pledge, Gold Savings, and Jewelry/Bullion Retail.
• Develop customer-led commercial strategies, promotional programs, and marketing initiatives to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Oversee gold procurement, logistics, inventory management, and physical vault security, supported by robust SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Establish effective risk management and hedging strategies to manage gold price volatility and protect business profitability.
• Drive innovation across Digital Gold Savings, alternative assets, fintech products, and modern financial platforms.
• Develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions and key business partners to strengthen funding channels and optimise liquidity.

Key requirements

• Master’s Degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
• More than 20 years of professional experience, with a proven track record as a Managing Director, C-Level Executive, or Senior Business Head overseeing end-to-end business operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing a large-scale business with investment portfolios or sales turnover of THB 10+ billion, with strong P&L ownership and commercial acumen.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending, financial services, retail operations, and profitability management.
• Proven entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to make fast, decisive, and commercially sound decisions in a dynamic operating environment.
• Strong transformation and data-driven leadership capabilities, with the ability to leverage analytics and technology to improve business performance.
• Excellent executive presence and communication skills, with the credibility to influence and build trust with the Board, investors, financial institutions, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
