Group Financial Controller

A leading specialty chemicals organisation is seeking a Group Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in its continued international expansion across Asia. As the Group Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of shaping the finance function, partnering closely with senior leadership to build a scalable and dependable finance organisation.

What you'll do:

• You will lead all aspects of group accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities in Thailand, Vietnam, India, and other future locations.
• You will manage monthly and annual financial closing processes, collaborating with local teams to deliver reliable results that meet internal and external requirements.
• You will oversee group consolidation activities, applying IFRS/TFRS standards and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations across diverse jurisdictions.
• You will strengthen internal controls and finance governance by designing policies and procedures that foster transparency and accountability throughout the organisation.
• You will lead cost accounting and inventory accounting functions within manufacturing operations, providing insights that support commercial decision-making.
• You will manage external audit processes and statutory reporting requirements, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth completion of all obligations.
• You will partner with operations, commercial teams, supply chain management, manufacturing units, and HR departments to drive cross-functional alignment on financial matters.
• You will lead and develop the regional finance team by providing guidance, mentorship, and training opportunities that foster professional growth.

What you bring:

• 15 years of proven experience in accounting & finance roles within multinational or regional organisations.
• At least 7 years as a Financial Controller managing complex group structures.
• Substantial experience in the manufacturing industry where you have overseen cost accounting and inventory management.
• Regional or multinational company experience is preferred
