Financial Controller (Business Partner)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller (Finance Business Partner) (x1 vacancy) to support the financial performance of a growing manufacturing business in Samut Prakan. This role is a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and cross-functional leadership team, providing financial insights that drive operational excellence, business performance, and sustainable growth.

As the Financial Controller (Finance Business Partner), you will provide financial leadership across manufacturing operations while ensuring sound financial planning, reporting, and business performance management. You will partner closely with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the Plant Manager and functional leaders to provide financial guidance and support business decisions.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Prepare monthly management reports with clear analysis of financial performance, key business drivers, and actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor plant profitability by analysing revenue, manufacturing costs, operating expenses, and gross margin performance.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support operational initiatives, investment decisions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Partner with operations to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance.
  • Support month-end closing activities by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies.
  • Monitor working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables, to optimise cash flow.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, perform financial analysis, and monitor investment performance.
  • Track key operational and financial KPIs, providing insights to support business performance reviews.
  • Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and enhancements to financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate finance teams to ensure consistency in reporting and financial governance.

What you will bring:

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering capabilities and solid experience supporting manufacturing operations. You are comfortable working with both financial data and operational stakeholders, enabling you to influence business decisions through meaningful financial insights.

You will ideally possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other professional qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Approximately 8–12 years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Experience partnering with operations and senior business leaders to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to convert complex data into practical business recommendations.
  • Good knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing performance drivers.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise financial systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and continuous improvement orientation.
