Associate Director - Accounting and Finance Based in Malaysia

* Leading accounting and finance team in Malaysia office * Willingness to travel regionally as required (approximately 30%) * Thai National preferred Our client is one of leading consumer products and it’s dedicated to sustainable practices across its operations, including environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and community engagement initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall Finance and Accounting function for Malaysia, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, compliance, compliance and governance
• Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other support functions to ensure financial alignment and disciplined execution of business plans
• Act as a strategic finance business partner to the Malaysia leadership Team, providing financial perspectives on commercial strategies, investments, pricing, marketing spend, and business initiatives
• Drive the annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and financial models for Malaysia, covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, product portfolios, and key business KPIs
• Present insightful management reports and financial recommendations to Senior Management in Vietnam, Regional SEA, and Group Office in Thailand
• Lead performance reviews, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to ensure delivery against financial targets and KPIs
• Oversee preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports with deep-dive analyses by category, brand, channel, and customer to evaluate profitability and spend effectiveness
• Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other support functions to ensure financial alignment and disciplined execution of business plans
• Establish and continuously improve financial monitoring, reporting tools, and processes to enhance transparency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information
• Provide forward-looking analysis and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making and investment prioritization
• Coach, develop, and lead finance team members, fostering strong business acumen, analytical capability, and leadership mindset
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regional/group reporting standards

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields (MBA or professional qualification is an advantage)
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with strong background in Finance and Accounting, preferably within FMCG Or MNC environment
• Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing decision-making at management level
• Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills
• Solid hands-on experience in financial modelling, forecasting, business analysis, and performance management
• Proficient in SAP, advanced Excel, MS Office, and Think-cell
• Strategic, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Thai
