  • Identify commercial and financial risks associated with new business propositions; execute risk review procedures in line with global policies to minimise exposure.
  • Establish transparent processes for obtaining reliable financial data; ensure high-quality reporting in accordance with defined standards and closing schedules.
  • Foster effective communication with internal stakeholders including controllers at local/country/regional levels as well as accounting centres to continuously improve operational quality.

What you bring:

To excel as a Business Unit Controller in this organisation, you will bring substantial experience managing complex finance functions within large-scale businesses—ideally those operating internationally or across multiple markets. Your academic background should reflect advanced study in finance or accounting disciplines; additional certifications like ACCA or CPA further demonstrate your commitment to professional excellence. You have previously held positions where you were responsible for both P&L oversight and direct team supervision—showcasing your ability to nurture talent while achieving organisational goals. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP ensures you can navigate digital workflows efficiently. Beyond technical proficiency, your interpersonal strengths allow you to build trust quickly among colleagues from varied cultural backgrounds; you thrive when facilitating collaboration between departments or regions. Adaptability is one of your hallmarks: whether responding swiftly to regulatory changes or embracing new technologies that streamline reporting processes. Above all else, your dedication to ethical practice ensures every action taken supports long-term sustainability—for both people and profits.

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred; experienced candidates holding a bachelor’s degree will also be considered favourably.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA are highly regarded and considered advantageous for this position.
  • Demonstrated experience of 4–8 years in finance roles involving profit & loss responsibility as well as team leadership within similar industries is essential.
  • Proficiency in business controlling tools is required; familiarity with SAP systems (especially SAP S/4Hana) would be particularly beneficial.
  • A self-motivated approach combined with willingness to engage in both repetitive tasks and value-added strategic assignments is important.
  • Excellent people leadership skills are necessary—including the ability to motivate teams collaboratively within HR frameworks—and intercultural sensitivity is vital for success across diverse environments.
  • Strong communication abilities paired with negotiation skills enable effective collaboration within multi-country teams as well as engagement with internal/external partners globally.
  • Flexibility regarding domestic or overseas travel may be required depending on project needs or stakeholder meetings.
  • A proven track record of implementing change initiatives successfully—mobilising individuals towards shared objectives—is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to upholding core values such as safety, integrity, responsibility towards colleagues, and ethical conduct underpins all aspects of this role.
