Accounting Manager

A leading organisation in Bangkok is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their Finance Department and oversee a dedicated team of professionals. This role offers you the opportunity to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with international financial standards, and contribute directly to strategic financial goals.

What you'll do:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, advance payments, foreign transfers, and cash reporting.
• Manage month-end closing activities such as booking accrued expenses, reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial information, and generating internal monthly management reports.
• Calculate corporate income tax by collecting data for mid-year and year-end tax submissions while liaising with third-party tax consultants for deferred tax.
• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting; manage compliance with tax regulations, audits, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Participate in internal audit systems including responsibility for the Internal Control System project which involves recording risk areas and control measures with self-testing protocols.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits to facilitate smooth communication and accurate reporting.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
• 10 years of accounting experience with at least 4 years spent in a supervisory role
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
• Thorough understanding of tax laws—particularly corporate tax compliance—will allow you to manage regulatory obligations confidently.
• Excellent organisational skills paired with analytical abilities equip you to handle multiple priorities within deadline-driven environments without compromising accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills foster positive relationships within your team as well as with external stakeholders such as auditors or consultants.
• Ability to work collaboratively under supportive leadership ensures timely delivery of results even during extended hours at month-end or year-end closings.
