Tax Manager
The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all tax related matters for the Thailand business, ensuring compliance with local regulations while supporting business operations through effective tax planning, advisory, and risk management. This role also involves coordination with regional and international teams on cross border tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance, Customs & Planning
- Ensure full compliance with Thailand tax regulations including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and customs duties.
- Oversee preparation, review, and submission of all tax filings.
- Support development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax position while ensuring compliance.
Tax Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review tax computations and tax returns.
- Perform detailed tax data analysis to identify risks and tax efficiency opportunities.
- Support accurate tax reporting and documentation.
Tax Advisory & Business Support
- Provide tax guidance to finance, commercial, and operational teams.
- Review business transactions and investment proposals to assess tax implications.
- Support decision making through practical tax advice and solutions.
Tax Risk Management & Governance
- Identify, assess, and manage tax risks across the business.
- Develop and implement tax risk mitigation measures and controls.
- Collaborate with internal audit and external auditors on tax related matters.
Tax Audit & Authority Liaison
- Manage tax audits, inquiries, and assessments from tax authorities.
- Prepare supporting documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Act as key point of contact with tax authorities and external advisors.
International Tax Coordination
- Coordinate cross border tax matters with regional and global teams.
- Support transfer pricing related activities and group tax requirements.
- Ensure consistency of tax approach across jurisdictions.
Tax Process & System Improvement
- Review and improve tax processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support maintenance and optimization of tax systems and data integrity.
Other Responsibilities
- Support or lead special tax related projects as assigned.
- Provide input into continuous improvement of tax policies and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of tax experience in multinational corporations, Big 4, or both.
- Strong knowledge of Thai tax regulations including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and customs.
- Experience in tax compliance, advisory, audits, and cross border tax coordination.
- Professional tax qualification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical tax matters to non tax stakeholders.
- High integrity, detail oriented, and strong sense of accountability.
- Fluent in Thai and English.
