Finance Manager (New Setup)

A leading international fitness and wellness company is seeking a Finance Manager in Bangkok to lead finance operations for its new Thailand entity. This role is ideal for candidates with startup or new setup experience within multinational, retail, hospitality, fitness, or consumer businesses. Responsibilities include financial reporting, compliance, tax, audit, and process setup. Strong knowledge of TFRS, Thai tax regulations, and ERP systems required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of finance and accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, banking, and month end closing
• Establish finance processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks from scratch
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports in line with group reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS) and company policies
• Handle tax compliance including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax submissions
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and government authorities
• Manage banking operations, foreign exchange transactions, and intercompany funding documentation
• Maintain audit readiness and accurate financial records at all times
• Partner with regional stakeholders and support governance reporting requirements
• Liaise with outsourced accounting, payroll, and compliance providers

Requirements

• Thai CPA qualification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in finance and accounting within multinational companies
• Strong understanding of TFRS, Thai tax regulations, and statutory compliance
• Experience managing audit processes and external stakeholders
• ERP system experience such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Fluent Thai and English communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a standalone finance role
• Startup, new setup, market entry, or greenfield project experience highly preferred
