You will enjoy broad scope spanning with clear authority to set standards and enforce them.

What you'll do:

As an Accounting Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial backbone of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all aspects of accounting operations—from managing the general ledger to ensuring timely monthly closes—while maintaining strict compliance with local standards.

The package includes base salary + provident fund

  • Oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and all accounting entries to ensure completeness and accuracy in monthly close processes.
  • Personally review and approve all journal entries, reconciliations, adjustments, and maintain rigorous control over accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, revenue recognition, fixed asset register, and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with Thai Accounting Standards (TAS) and applicable IFRS requirements across all accounting activities.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for over 700 staff members including non-agent employees and in-house agents; ensure accuracy of salaries, allowances, overtime payments, statutory deductions such as social security and provident fund.
  • Design and maintain agent commission structures in collaboration with operations and sales teams; guarantee timely payment through accurate calculations.
  • Coordinate closely with HR regarding headcount changes, new hires or terminations; manage leave balances and benefits accounting while reconciling payroll-related liabilities.
  • Build standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all accounting and payroll processes; establish internal controls over financial reporting with proper documentation and audit trails.
  • Lead annual statutory audit preparation by coordinating with external auditors; support tax filing compliance including corporate income tax (CIT), VAT, withholding tax (WHT) alongside external advisors.
  • Directly manage a team of four staff members by setting expectations, assigning tasks daily, reviewing work regularly; train team members on best practices while identifying skill gaps for further development.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows; implement improvements using Odoo or comparable ERP/accounting systems to automate repetitive tasks such as bank feeds or invoice matching.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position brings extensive experience across all facets of full-cycle accounting—from managing ledgers to overseeing payroll for large teams. Your background includes hands-on involvement with commission calculations for sales agents as well as deep familiarity with Thai statutory requirements. You have successfully managed small teams within finance departments by providing daily guidance and fostering continuous improvement through training initiatives. Your comfort working alongside HR ensures seamless integration between employee cost tracking and benefits administration while maintaining BOI compliance. Technical expertise in Thai Accounting Standards coupled with tax compliance knowledge positions you well for audit readiness responsibilities. Experience leveraging ERP/accounting systems such as Odoo enables you to drive process automation efficiently. Your attention to detail means errors are caught early while systematic approaches prevent future issues. Reliability is your hallmark—you deliver consistent quality month after month regardless of oversight. CPD certification underscores your commitment to professional development while startup or scale-up experience equips you to thrive amid change. Fluency in Thai paired with English proficiency ensures effective communication across diverse teams.

  • 10–15+ years of proven experience in full-cycle accounting including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable oversight, payroll processing for large teams, commission calculation for sales agents.
  • Demonstrated ability managing small teams (3–6 people) within finance or accounting functions; experience training staff on best practices is highly valued.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Thai payroll processing including statutory deductions such as social security contributions or provident fund administration; familiarity with commission structures for agent networks.
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of accounting and HR operations—headcount tracking, benefits administration, BOI compliance—and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong technical understanding of Thai Accounting Standards (TAS), tax compliance requirements (corporate income tax/VAT/WHT), statutory audit preparation protocols.
  • Experience using Odoo (strongly preferred) or comparable ERP/accounting systems like SAP/Oracle/Xero/QuickBooks; ability to leverage technology for process automation is desirable.
  • Detail-oriented approach: consistently catches errors before they become problems; builds systematic processes that prevent recurrence of mistakes.
  • Reliable track record delivering high-quality results every month regardless of supervision; demonstrates consistency in performance under pressure.
  • CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certification required; commitment to ongoing learning is appreciated.
  • Startup or scale-up experience is a strong plus—comfort navigating ambiguity or building new systems from scratch enhances suitability for this role.
  • Fluent in Thai (required) with professional proficiency in English.
