A leading food business in Chiangmai is seeking a Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") to join their executive team. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape financial strategy, drive business growth, and ensure robust financial health for a thriving organisation. As CFO, you will be at the heart of decision-making, providing strategic guidance and expert analysis that directly impacts the company’s success.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the overall goals of the food manufacturing business, ensuring accounting and reporting excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, guaranteeing accurate and timely preparation of financial statements while maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis process by managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities to provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance across the organisation, preparing regular reports that inform the executive team’s decisions with clarity and precision.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure by optimising resources and identifying opportunities for cost reduction as well as efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks including currency exchange rates, interest rates, and commodity prices; develop effective strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess investment opportunities, perform thorough financial due diligence, and support business development initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team by promoting a high-performance culture that fosters professional development within a supportive environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the financial health or operations of the food manufacturing business.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in senior financial leadership roles within food manufacturing demonstrates your ability to manage complex operations.
  • Expertise in accounting practices including preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant standards is essential for this role.
  • Excellent business partnering skills allow you to manage stakeholder relationships effectively across departments as well as externally.
  • Experience managing cash flow, working capital, capital expenditure along with risk mitigation strategies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, market conditions, regulatory changes impacting food manufacturing enhances your capacity for proactive management.
  • Outstanding communication skills ensure clear reporting both internally among colleagues and externally with auditors or regulatory bodies.
