Regional Financial Controller

A leading international group is seeking a Regional Financial Controller to join their Bangkok office. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape financial strategy and governance across multiple global entities, spanning Thailand and other countries. As a senior finance leader, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, supporting future expansion, and ensuring robust financial management throughout the organisation.

What you'll do:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for all entities within the Group, ensuring timely consolidation and reporting in accordance with international accounting standards.
• Review, validate, and approve financial reports for each legal entity and cost centre while preparing consolidated statements that reflect accurate sales performance by region and business unit.
• Coordinate external audits, statutory reporting, tax filings, regulatory submissions, and maintain compliance with local requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain Group accounting policies as well as robust financial control procedures that strengthen internal controls and promote operational excellence.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for all regions; analyse sales performance against targets; monitor operating expenses; identify cost optimisation opportunities; review marketing expenditures; evaluate new business initiatives.
• Oversee treasury functions including cash flow management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, funding requirements, payment controls, fraud prevention measures, and compliance with regulations.
• Provide regional finance leadership by partnering with commercial teams, supply chain managers, logistics professionals, and operations staff to ensure consistent implementation of Group policies.
• Maintain strong corporate governance standards through coordination of registrations, legal documentation updates, entity compliance checks, master record maintenance for all companies within the Group.
• Lead finance process improvements including digital transformation initiatives; drive ERP optimisation projects; champion technology adoption within the finance function.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
• CPA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly preferred
• At least 15 years of working experience in finance roles within multinational organisations
• Demonstrated ability to manage regional finance teams highlights your interpersonal strengths—fostering collaboration across cultures.
• Excellent English communication skills enable you to engage stakeholders at all levels—from executive management to external advisors—with clarity and empathy.
