Save job

A leading global company is seeking a Senior Finance Director to lead finance for its manufacturing operations in Thailand. Partnering with Operations and Global Finance, you will drive FP&A, forecasting, product costing, capital investment, and business performance. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative multinational offering strong global exposure and strategic leadership impact.

* Play a central role in shaping financial strategy for a global leader in advanced technology manufacturing, driving visibility and operational excellence across the organisation.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting, Treasury, and Corporate Finance on both local and international levels.
* Benefit from flexible working opportunities and a supportive environment that encourages knowledge sharing, professional development, and continuous learning.

What you'll do:

As Senior Finance Director based in Thailand’s key manufacturing location, you will play an instrumental role in guiding the financial direction of the organisation’s operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with diverse teams across functions such as Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting, Treasury, and Corporate Finance. You will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of financial planning—from annual operating plans to long-range strategic forecasts—while providing insightful analysis that supports critical business decisions. Your expertise in product costing will help drive cost competitiveness initiatives while your oversight of capital investment ensures optimal allocation of resources. By fostering strong partnerships with operational leaders and developing your FP&A team’s capabilities through coaching and mentorship, you will contribute directly to the company’s ongoing success. Your ability to manage complex reporting requirements using advanced analytics tools will further enhance transparency and drive continuous improvement throughout the finance function.

* Lead the annual operating plan process as well as quarterly forecasts, long-range planning cycles, and monthly financial outlooks to ensure robust financial stewardship.
* Drive accurate forecasting, variance analysis, and comprehensive performance reporting to support informed business decision-making at all levels.
* Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding business performance trends, risks, and emerging opportunities.
* Ensure timely completion of monthly close activities while delivering clear management reporting and facilitating detailed financial reviews.
* Serve as the primary finance business partner to Operations leadership by supporting efficiency initiatives, productivity improvements, cost optimisation programmes, and margin enhancement strategies.
* Support manufacturing strategy through rigorous financial analysis and development of compelling business cases for new initiatives or investments.
* Oversee standard cost development processes alongside actual product costing reviews and cost variance analyses to maintain competitiveness.
* Monitor manufacturing performance metrics such as labour productivity, overhead absorption rates, inventory optimisation efforts, and operational KPIs.
* Lead capital expenditure planning by reviewing Capital Authorisation Requests (CARs), conducting ROI analyses for major investments, and partnering with Treasury on cash flow forecasts.
* Champion continuous improvement of financial systems by enhancing data quality, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and driving automation or digital finance initiatives.

What you bring:

To excel as Senior Finance Director in this globally recognised technology company’s Thai operations hub, you will bring extensive experience from multinational environments—ideally within manufacturing sectors—where you have led FP&A teams through periods of growth or transformation. Your academic background will include a relevant degree complemented by advanced qualifications such as an MBA or professional certifications. You are adept at navigating complex ERP systems like Oracle or SAP while leveraging advanced analytics platforms for enhanced reporting. Your interpersonal strengths enable you to build trust-based relationships across cultures and functions; your communication style is clear yet empathetic. You thrive when mentoring others—developing talent within your team—and are known for your collaborative approach when partnering with stakeholders on strategic projects. Your proven ability to deliver actionable insights underpins your reputation as a dependable advisor who supports both operational efficiency initiatives and broader corporate objectives.

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration is required; an MBA or professional qualification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
* At least 10 years of progressive experience within multinational organisations with a minimum of 7 years in FP&A leadership roles within manufacturing environments.
* Proven track record in product costing methodologies as well as deep understanding of operational finance within large-scale production settings.
* Experience supporting global or regional headquarters operations within US-listed public companies is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated success leading high-performing finance teams while influencing senior business leaders through effective communication skills.
* Advanced proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP along with expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
* Exceptional analytical abilities combined with strong problem-solving skills and the capacity for clear financial storytelling tailored for executive audiences.
* Strategic thinker who balances commercial acumen with practical execution; able to prioritise competing demands effectively while maintaining focus on organisational objectives.
* Outstanding stakeholder management skills demonstrated through successful collaboration across matrixed global structures.
* Fluency in English (written and verbal) enabling effective communication across multicultural teams.
