Finance Director (Manufacturing | Bangkok Metropolitan Area)

Our client is a leading multinational manufacturing organization seeking a Finance Director to lead the finance and accounting function for its Thailand operation.

The Finance Director is responsible for leading the overall finance and accounting function for the Thailand manufacturing operation. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and partners closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to drive business performance, financial governance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Business Partnership

• Lead all aspects of finance and accounting operations.
• Provide financial leadership and strategic support to the management team.
• Partner with commercial and manufacturing leaders to improve profitability, productivity, and business performance.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to support key business decisions.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Review financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
• Lead statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and sound corporate governance practices.
• Identify and manage financial risks while implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

Treasury & Working Capital

• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and funding requirements.
• Drive working capital improvement initiatives and optimize cash conversion performance.
• Monitor financial commitments and expenditure against approved budgets.

Tax & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Manage tax audits, tax planning activities, and relationships with external advisors and authorities.

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Controlling

• Lead manufacturing finance, cost controlling, and inventory management activities.
• Review product costing methodologies and inventory valuation processes.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, material consumption, production efficiency, and operational performance.
• Monitor profitability, inventory levels, and gross margin performance.
• Oversee inventory controls and annual stock count activities.

Capital Expenditure & Asset Management

• Evaluate and review capital investment proposals.
• Monitor capital project spending and investment performance.
• Oversee fixed asset management and capital work in progress activities.
