Supply Chain Finance Director (Eastern Thailand)

A prominent organisation in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Associate Director to join its team in the Eastern Part of Thailand. This pivotal role offers you the chance to oversee and elevate financial operations across supply chain activities, including costing, production cost management, plant investment, fixed assets, and inventory control.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee comprehensive costing processes including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), production costs, plant investments, fixed assets management, and inventory control to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide detailed monthly COGS analysis and maintain precise records of production costs and factory overheads for effective decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Procurement teams to estimate material prices and consumption trends, supporting efficient resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing teams such as Production, Engineering, QA, and R&D to estimate Bill of Materials (BOM), raw material quantity/quality, factory overheads, and other operational costs.
  • Manage fixed asset registers by ensuring proper control over asset purchasing plans and depreciation schedules in alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with all relevant departments to estimate CAPEX requirements and integrate them into strategic planning processes.
  • Oversee month-end book closing for plants and ensure timely submission of accurate financial reports to senior management.
  • Implement robust internal controls across all supply chain finance functions to maintain compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Identify risks within financial processes proactively and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard organisational interests.
  • Monitor plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using dashboards and reporting tools to assess operational efficiency and highlight areas for improvement.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred for this role.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in finance roles within the FMCG/manufacturing industry is essential; prior experience specifically in supply chain finance or manufacturing finance is crucial.
  • Deep knowledge of costing processes including COGS analysis, BOM estimation, inventory management techniques, CAPEX planning methodologies, and fixed asset control within a manufacturing environment is expected.
  • Excellent communication skills are required with fluency in English; proficiency in Thai is highly desirable due to local stakeholder engagement needs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities demonstrated by previous experience managing teams of finance professionals and collaborating across multiple departments.
  • Experience implementing robust internal controls within financial processes to ensure compliance with company policies as well as external regulations.
