Finance Director (Manufacturing)

This role is designed for a finance leader who can go beyond operational accounting and drive real business impact. You will lead budgeting, cost control, and financial performance initiatives while partnering closely with operations to improve efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long term financial planning
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to ensure realistic and data driven assumptions
• Drive budget discipline and proactive variance management

Cost Control & Cost Management

• Own full spectrum of manufacturing cost structure including material, labor, and overhead
• Develop and implement cost control frameworks to improve margin and operational efficiency
• Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for optimization and waste reduction
• Lead initiatives on standard costing, cost allocation, and inventory valuation

Business Partnering

• Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership and cross functional teams
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for decision making
• Challenge the business with fact based analysis and scenario modelling

Performance Management

• Establish and track KPIs related to cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
• Provide clear and concise management reporting to senior stakeholders

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Lead finance related improvement projects across systems, reporting, and controls
• Enhance financial processes to support scalability and operational excellence
• Support ERP enhancements or implementation if applicable

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop finance team, fostering strong accountability and ownership
• Build a high performing team capable of supporting business growth
