Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting

A leading organisation in Bangkok is seeking a Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting to oversee the integrity and accuracy of financial information across multiple entities.You will be instrumental in driving productivity, supporting business decisions, and fostering growth through expert guidance and collaborative leadership.

What you'll do:

• Oversee the integrity of the organisation’s financial condition by ensuring accurate reporting results for all stakeholders.
• Secure timely and compliant financial information for internal management, external parties, and relevant country authorities.
• Develop and enhance financial reports with a focus on productivity improvements and data accuracy.
• Cultivate a culture within the accounting team that prioritises fully automated processes alongside meticulous attention to detail.
• Manage closedown activities for monthly, periodic, and annual reporting cycles, consistently meeting or exceeding customer requirements as well as internal and external deadlines.
• Maintain GL account structures and standards, conducting regular technical reviews on Thai and IFRS standards to assess their impact on profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
• Administer ERP systems including general ledger, master files, sub-ledgers, and reporting modules to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations while providing critical information for expenditure control aligned with company targets.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits to facilitate transparent communication and efficient audit processes.
• Handle all aspects of tax compliance including VAT, WHT, corporate income tax filings, managing queries from Thai authorities, and partnering with the CFO on tax structuring issues.

What you bring:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• At least 15 years of working experience as a leader of a full-scope accounting department with proven audit experience gained at one of the Big 4 firms.
• Experience working within multi-national companies is essential; familiarity with retail or fast-moving industries is considered highly advantageous.
• High level of analytical skills combined with problem-solving abilities enables you to address complex financial challenges effectively.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English ensures clear communication across diverse teams.
