Save job

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished professional to step into the role of Head of Collection and Debt Management at a leading financial services provider based in Bangkok. This executive position is pivotal in shaping the future of the organisation’s debt management operations, offering you the chance to influence strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and lead transformative change across multiple business pillars.

What you'll do:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive collection strategies designed to optimise recovery rates across all lending portfolios including hire purchase, financial lease, personal loans, and teletec products.
  • Oversee the end-to-end debt management process by providing clear direction across three core pillars: project strategy, performing loan management, and non-performing loan (NPL) recovery.
  • Act as a key driver of operational transformation by redesigning workflows, introducing automation tools, and modernising systems to enhance staff productivity and reduce processing times.
  • Lead organisational restructuring efforts with sensitivity and care to ensure alignment with business efficiency goals while supporting affected team members throughout transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify cost optimisation opportunities and implement lean initiatives that improve overall performance without compromising service quality.
  • Champion process improvements by fostering a culture of continuous learning, encouraging open communication among teams, and sharing best practices across departments.
  • Monitor portfolio performance metrics regularly to ensure targets are met or exceeded while proactively addressing emerging risks or challenges within the collections function.
  • Support talent development by mentoring managers and team members, promoting knowledge transfer sessions, and ensuring access to relevant training resources for professional growth.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders—including risk management, compliance, IT, and customer service—to align collection activities with broader organisational objectives.
  • Represent the collections division in executive meetings by providing insightful updates on progress against strategic goals and recommending actionable solutions for ongoing challenges.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end debt management within the automobile finance sector or related industries is essential for success in this role.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale operational transformations—including workflow redesigns, automation projects, or system implementations—with positive outcomes for both staff efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong background in managing both performing loan portfolios as well as non-performing loan (NPL) recovery processes within complex organisations.
  • Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal—that allow you to present complex information clearly at executive level meetings or cross-departmental forums.
