Project Finance / Country Finance Leader (Infrastructure)

A rapidly expanding international infrastructure platform is seeking a Project Finance / Country Finance Leader (x1 vacancy) to oversee the finance function for its thriving operations in Thailand. As Project Finance / Country Finance Leader – Infrastructure you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of major data centre and digital infrastructure projects in Thailand. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams—ranging from development to commercial—to ensure that every aspect of project finance is meticulously planned and executed.

• Lead the financial management of large-scale development and infrastructure projects from initial investment assessment through to project completion, ensuring robust financial oversight at every stage.
• Develop comprehensive project financial models, business cases, funding requirements, and investment analyses that support informed decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
• Determine project funding needs and create financing plans aligned with timelines and capital requirements to guarantee sufficient liquidity throughout each phase.
• Manage detailed cash-flow forecasts, funding schedules, and capital deployment strategies to maintain optimal financial health during complex project lifecycles.
• Monitor project expenditure, committed costs, construction milestones, and cash requirements against approved budgets while identifying potential risks early.
• Coordinate with banks, lenders, treasury teams, and internal stakeholders on financing arrangements including drawdowns and funding requirements.
• Support negotiations and execution of debt facilities, project financing agreements, and other funding structures as required by evolving business needs.
• Partner closely with Development, Construction, Investment, Procurement, Operations, and Commercial teams to provide finance leadership across planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Track project financial performance against approved business cases while providing timely analysis and recommendations to support key decisions.
• Establish scalable finance processes, policies, controls, governance frameworks; develop a high-performing local finance team capable of supporting ongoing growth.

What you bring:

To excel as Country Finance Leader – Infrastructure you will bring extensive experience leading finance functions within capital-intensive sectors such as data centres/digital infrastructure/energy/utilities/telecommunications/construction/manufacturing/oil & gas/petrochemicals. Your proven track record managing large-scale projects—from initial investment evaluation through completion—will be complemented by deep expertise in project finance/funding/cash-flow management. You will have demonstrated your ability to develop/manage detailed forecasts proactively identifying risks before they materialise. Experience working with external financiers (banks/lenders/treasury) on complex arrangements is essential along with strong FP&A/commercial finance/business partnering skills. Your professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA) ensures robust understanding of controls/governance/risk management/project controls. Ideally you have supported international expansion/new-market entry/exposure to listed companies/public reporting plus commercial acumen/pragmatic hands-on approach comfortable engaging/challenging assumptions/influencing senior leaders. Exposure to hyperscale/colocation/development plus treasury/liquidity management/multi-project experience further strengthens your profile.

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience including significant leadership responsibility within capital-intensive or project-based businesses such as data centres/digital infrastructure/energy/utilities/telecommunications/real estate/construction/engineering/manufacturing/oil & gas/petrochemicals.
• Proven hands-on experience managing large-scale capital projects with strong exposure to project finance/funding/cash-flow management from investment approval through construction/completion.
• Demonstrated ability to develop/manage detailed cash-flow forecasts proactively identifying funding gaps before they impact execution.
• Experience working with banks/lenders/treasury teams or other financing stakeholders on complex arrangements including debt facilities/syndicated loans/structured financing.
• Strong background in FP&A/commercial finance/business partnering/evaluating major investments/capital expenditure/project returns.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (project/construction/investment/operational) influencing senior executives within regional/global matrix organisations.
• Professional accounting qualifications plus strong understanding of financial controls/governance/risk management/project controls.
• Experience supporting international expansion/new-market entry/exposure to listed companies/IPO preparation/public-company reporting is highly desirable.
• Commercially minded approach combined with pragmatic/hands-on attitude comfortable engaging with senior leadership/challenging assumptions around cost/timing/funding/returns.
• Exposure to hyperscale/colocation/large-scale infrastructure development plus strong treasury/liquidity management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
